Gallery House Events is the result of founder Daria’s decades-long journey of creativity, passion, and community building. Her story began in 1993 when she moved from South Carolina to Massachusetts at the age of 21 to further her education. It was there that Daria embarked on a transformative career path that would eventually lead her to the wedding and events industry.
Her career started with a position managing a photography studio in Medford Square. Over three years, she developed a deep passion for photography and weddings. Initially hired as the studio manager handling primarily administrative tasks, Daria quickly immersed herself in all aspects of the business, from designing albums to mastering camera equipment. Her creative instincts stood out, particularly when she became a second shooter. While primary photographers captured standard shots, Daria instinctively sought out unique, overlooked moments, setting her apart with her artistic eye and attention to detail. Her dedication and talent inspired the studio owner, who trusted her with increasingly significant roles.
When the studio relocated, Daria was recruited by another studio in Wakefield, MA. There, she gained invaluable insights into how to differentiate herself in the competitive photography market. In 1997, she welcomed her first child, Bella. To support Daria’s continued leadership, the studio owner set up an in-studio nursery, enabling her to balance motherhood and her career. After the birth of her second daughter, Talia, in 1999, Daria decided to stay home full-time while pursuing her passion on her terms. She launched Gallery House Photography, allowing her to shoot on weekends while prioritizing her family during the week.
In 2001, Daria moved from north of Boston to the South Shore, designing her new home to include a custom in-home studio. The day after moving in, she discovered she was pregnant with her son, Roman, who was born in 2002. From her home studio, Daria built close relationships with her clients, creating a trusted community that supported her eventual expansion.
As Daria booked brides for their photography needs, her warm and approachable nature made them feel so comfortable that they began to lean on her for more than just photos. Brides sought her guidance on the inner workings of their weddings, from timelines to vendor recommendations. Her deep understanding of weddings and her ability to anticipate needs naturally positioned her as a key part of their planning process. She soon found herself not only capturing their special day but also guiding them through every step, ensuring their vision came to life seamlessly.
By 2010, her success enabled her to open a storefront for Gallery House Photography. Beyond her photography, Daria’s entrepreneurial spirit extended to building partnerships with local businesses through collaborative marketing. She served on the zoning board, became president of the Rockland Revitalization Group, and partnered with town grant writers to secure funding for local initiatives. Together, they raised additional funds to support community projects, further establishing her as a well-connected and resourceful leader.
In addition to her community work, Daria leveraged her talents in the political arena, serving as the exclusive photographer for unions during campaign seasons. This role exposed her to high-profile events and clients, sharpening her ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, and ensure seamless execution in dynamic environments.
Gallery House Events is the culmination of Daria’s journey—combining her expertise in photography, event planning, marketing, and community engagement. Her ability to build relationships, guide her clients, and deliver exceptional experiences has made Gallery House Events a trusted name in the wedding and event industry. Through her vision, Daria continues to connect people, celebrate life’s milestones, and create unforgettable moments.
As her children grew they found their own sparks from their mother’s fire. Talia, from the age of 14, immersed herself in the cosmetology industry, building a network and booking herself for hair and makeup services for proms and parties while still in high school. Meanwhile, Bella, a natural leader, attended Curry College and now thrives as a full-time project manager, handling high-level clients and overseeing complex projects that span over a year. Roman, with his love for music, found his passion for MCing and DJing events. Starting with house parties and local gatherings, he discovered a knack for creating unforgettable experiences through music and energy. Their unique talents naturally complemented Daria’s vision, expanding Gallery House into an all-encompassing event planning and styling business, Gallery House Events.
The official 2025 rebranding into Gallery House Events marks an exciting evolution, presenting a unified team dedicated to seamless event planning and execution. Clients can now enjoy the convenience of working with a single point of contact who will expertly connect them to the right vendors and services—all under one roof. As a true one-stop shop, Gallery House Events offers a concierge-style experience, handling all the booking and coordination to ensure every detail aligns perfectly with the client's vision. This streamlined approach reflects the team's commitment to providing personalized, stress-free service while leveraging decades of experience and an extensive network of trusted partners to create extraordinary events.
